Due to Conflict, Natus Vincere Releases Player from Russia

Recently, the organization esports Ukrainian origin Natus Vincere (NaVi) released players from Russia as a form of support for the Ukrainian state. Yevhen Zolotarov as CEO of NaVi has made an official statement regarding the future of this team.

We (NaVi) will not work with people who live in Russia and who pay taxes to the Russian Federation.”

This decision is certainly none other than the war that is currently engulfing Ukraine and Russia. Natus Vincere Releases Player From Russia

Information regarding this change was announced by Yana Diachenko during an interview with several NaVi Junior players, following the organization’s official statement about saying goodbye to Russian players. The released players are:

  • Dmitry “fe2nk” Gladskikh – NaVi Junior
  • Vladislav “xiELO-“ Lysov – NaVi Youth

NAVI Junior coach Amiran “ami” Rekhviashvili, continued his statement that, “Our doors are always open to talented young players from our region, regardless of nationality, or political views. To me, just playing skills games and humans. Quality is always substance. There is a belief that esports stay out of politics – yes, it is, but esports cannot escape war.”
